Frequently asked questions
An app that explains packaged food, drinks and beauty products. Scan a barcode to see a score from 0 to 100, the reasons behind it, the full ingredients and allergens, and a better product of the same kind when there is one.
Yes. Scanning, scores, product details, history, favourites, Better and the Basket Score are free with an account. Premium adds search, personal alerts for allergens, diets and ingredients you avoid, more Better suggestions and offline access.
In the UK, £0.99 a month or £9.99 a year. Both plans include the same features and start with a 7-day free trial, one per Nutivio account. You subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, and the app shows the price your store will charge before you confirm.

No. With Premium, your preferences appear as separate alerts on each product: Contains, May contain, or Can't confirm when data is missing. Nutivio never labels a product as safe, so always check the pack, especially for allergens.
With Premium, products you've scanned, saved or favourited stay on your phone, encrypted, for up to 30 days and up to 500 products. They're removed when you sign out. A barcode you've never scanned needs a connection.
You can send us a few photos of the pack from the app. Our team reviews them before the product is added, so the next person who scans it gets an answer.
So your history, favourites, preferences and Premium follow you to a new phone, even between iPhone and Android. We ask only for your first name, an email address and a password.
In your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal or trial end date. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
Yes, at any time, in the app under Account, then Privacy. You can export a copy of your data or delete your account.
No. Nutivio describes products, not your health. Always check the label, and ask a doctor, dietitian or pharmacist for advice about your diet or skin.
